Our new little angle decided to make her apperance a little under a week early. I went into labor on Sunday and after a while in the hospital the doctors decided to go ahead with my surgery instead of trying to stop the contractions. Due to a few set of triplets we had to wait until almost midnight before the surgery started. Brian was a little disappointed and asked me why we had to have both of our kids in the middle of the night. :)
Katelyn was born at 12:33am on January 19th (Sam was born at 12:15 am). She weighted in at 6lbs 10oz and 20 inches long. Everything went well with the surgery, although I had to be warmed up afterwards. Katelyn did wonderfully and received a 9 and 9 on her app cards.
Katelyn so far seems to be a much calmer baby then Sam. She is either sleeping or eating, and we almost never hear her cry, but when she does it is the softest sweetest cry I have ever heard. She seems to be quite patient when it comes to food and wet diapers, a completely new experience for us compared to Sam. :) We love her so much and are thankful she has finally joined our family.
Samantha is quite smitten with her baby sister and seems to be in awe of her. She loves to just sit and look at her or help to rock her in her swing or car seat. Although, she has been a little extra clinging the last few days (partly because she as been sick), she seems to be happy with baby Katelyn and her new role as big sister.

I love the one of Samantha and Katelyn--they are so tiny on that big couch! Hope you're having fun with your mom in town!
